I do not have my own automobile but I was told that I need to buy an sr22 car insurance coverage in Indianapolis, Indiana. What is that?

Generally an SR-22 is required of a motorist after they are convicted of traffic or moving offense of the law and especially at the time the motorist wants to have their drivers license reinstated after suspension or revocation.
If the state is not requiring you to acquire an SR22 insurance, you do not need to buy an SR22 insurance policy. If the state is requiring that you to acquire an SR22 insurance as a condition of your license being reinstated whether you are the car owner or the driver. The SR22 is used to show that you will have financial responsibility if you are going to drive an automobile.
If you do not own an automobile and are required to acquire an SR-22 insurance you should be able to obtain a non-owner SR-22 insurance policy in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I suggest that you may contact your states Department of Motor Vehicle to obtain more information if you are required to get an sr22 financial responsibility certificate or not.
