SR22 Information

I am from Texas. I wanted to ask if I still need to get an SR22 if I do not drive or own a car, and if so, why?

Often a SR-22 is needed of a driver right after being found guilty of certain traffic infraction of the law and particularly during the time the motorist would like to have their license restored.

If your state is not mandating you to buy an SR22, its not necessary to buy an SR22. Whether or not you will drive or own a vehicle usually is not important if the state is requiring that you get yourself an SR22 as a condition of your license being restored. The SR22 is showing that you have financial responsibility should you drive a vehicle.

If you don’t own a vehicle and are mandated to obtain an SR-22 you can get yourself a non-owner SR-22 policy.
